A hand painted mural is a perfect way to brighten up any wall, whether in the home, school or business premises.  All murals are individually designed and tailored to suit your space.  The mural can be painted in

many different styles, so the possibilities are literally endless.

HOW TO COMMISSION A HAND PAINTED MURAL

Please use this website, books and other visual sources to get an initial idea of the sort of thing you would like, then contact Nigel to discuss your ideas and your budget.

THE NEXT STEP

Once contact has been made and ideas outlined, usually a site visit is helpful. This is a free service for the local area with a nominal charge to cover expenses for prospective clients who are further afield.

A site visit is the perfect opportunity to discuss ideas and examine the space, carry out an accurate site survey and firm up design ideas. Advice is also given on surface preparation.

Following the initial site visit or discussions, I will provide a sketched design and a guide as to eventual costs will also be summarised.  Upon approval, a more detailed design can be drawn if required, before commencement. By this stage a financial commitment would be required in the form of an initial payment to allow the commission to be put into the order book.

MATERIALS
Acrylic paints are used for indoor projects, which are non-toxic, hardwearing and lightfast. If necessary, the completed work is coated with matt varnish for added protection.

The painting process can take anywhere from one day to three weeks depending on size and complexity.
